Email is blocked by spamrats blacklist/blocklist service Print

  • 0

Problem Description

You receive a bounce email indicating an outgoing message has been blocked by spamrats like RATS-Spam or another of their lists.

Problem Resolution

Unfortunately we have no way to resolve this. We have reached out to the Spamrats support team on multiple occasions asking for removal as our own IP has not exhibited any significant levels of spam.

Their response is that because other servers at the same datacentre as us and on the same IP range have had issues with spam, everyone hosted there has to suffer. We always reach out to our datacentre to resolve the issue when this happens, who then acts to resolve the issue with Spamrats. This can take weeks or even months.

Since Spamrats admins are not receptive to the idea that singular IPs can belong to individual customers, we consider their practices invalid blocklisting.

Therefore we have no way to resolve this problem and it will be up to your recipients to stop using the Spamrats blocklist to resolve this issue.
