Problem: Your Google-hosted emails keep going to recipients spam folders. You've reached out to Google's support, and they tell you that your domain is blacklisted and that you need to reach out to Websavers.
Root Cause: The Google Support rep you were speaking with is grossly misinformed about how email, block lists, and domains work.
Solution: In the case of any deliverability issue, it's good to ensure that you have the following set up:
- SPF Record
- DKIM Record
- DMARC Record
Assuming you've got all three of those correctly configured for your Google-hosted email, and you're still having deliverability issues with mail that you're sending, you must reach back out to Google and try to get a representative who knows what they're talking about. We'd love to help you, if we could, but we can't. Asking us, as the web provider, to fix the email provider's issue is akin to asking your cable company why your cell phone isn't working properly.
The exception to this is if your website is sending mail on behalf of your domain, and that email is being impacted. That we can certainly help you identify issues with. If it's mail you're sending through Gmail / your mail client, then it is 100% Google's issue to resolve.
