The audio player we supply via the Client Centre is configured to automatically load the best method of playback for all browsers. In some browsers it requires Flash to play your stream and in others it will play using the native HTML5 audio tag. This allows it to function in just about any browser on any platform, including mobile devices like iPhones, iPads and most Android devices.
Internet Explorer 10 supposedly has full support for the HTML5 specification, however it appears to not support Shoutcast streams via HTML5, or there's a bug in our player. To get around this issue, we need to force Internet Explorer to load the page with the flash player by telling the browser that it should pretend to be IE9. This is done by inserting the following line directly below the head tag in the HTML file in which you have inserted the player:
