Problem Description

  • You registered a new domain
  • Soon after, you began receiving a large quantity of spam

First thing's first: we do not, have not, and will not ever sell your personal information.

Problem Resolution

When you registered your domain, one of the options available (free!) was for “ID Protection”. Without ID protection, all the information required for a domain registration is available for the world - and all the spammers and scammers out there - to see. This is true wherever you register your domain from and is (sadly) the nature of domain registration.

You can verify this by going to a public Whois lookup site and checking there: https://www.whois.com

Many providers charge extra for the privacy protection service - we don’t. We believe privacy is your right, so we provide the service at no cost whatsoever - all you need to do is enable it. ID Protection is available to add for free in the Websavers Client Centre
