Problem Description
You removed some files using Plesk File Manager, however after waiting 24 hours, our usage reports (and Plesk) still show no or negligible difference in storage usage.
Problem Resolution
Plesk File Manager uses a recycle bin (or trash) folder to place deleted items until you explicitly clear the recycle bin. Here's how:
- Login to Plesk
- Choose Files
- In the directory list, look for the folder called '.trash' (with a dot in front of it) and select it
- The toolbar at the top will now show a button entitled "Empty Recycle Bin" - press this button to erase everything in the trash/recycle bin permanently
Upon the next accounting of disk space (approx 24 hours) these deleted files will no longer be part of your disk accounting and your usage will be reduced.
