Problem Description
- When loading any page of your site, whether front-end or back-end, you will intermittently receive one or more 404 errors. Refreshing the page repeatedly will show it appearing sometimes and not others.
- Your page loads most of the time, but some resources like images and CSS are not loading with a 404 error showing in the browser console.
- You have recently added the domain or subdomain to your account and the site has done this since it was added
Please note: this specific issue *only* occurs intermittently and randomly. If your site or URL is consistently providing 404 errors, you should look at other articles.
Problem Resolution
This is a super intermittent issue we've been tracking for some time now. As of Dec 2021 there is no user front-facing resolution to this problem.
Please open a ticket and specify the domain you're experiencing the issue with along with one such URL that is intermittently providing 404 errors, and we'll get this corrected for you.
Our internal tracking for this is referenced as: "404s on newly added domains" and an admin-level workaround is available.
