Unable to connect to server with SAM Broadcaster

If you've entered all server details exactly as shown in your Client Centre account, but you're still unable to connect to the server, check if you're attempting the connection from a computer running Windows 8. We've heard sporadic reports that running SAM Broadcaster on Windows 8 may not be able to make outgoing connections on odd ports like those used by our radio streaming servers. Those who have encountered this issue before have informed us that streaming on the very same network from a computer running Windows 7 has resolved this issue.
If you're encountering this problem with Windows 8, please open a support request with as much information as possible, such as the error provided by SAM Broadcaster, what antivirus or firewall software you have installed, etc. We hope to resolve this problem as soon as we get all relevant diagnostic information.
